Medal Ceremony Information:
Recipients must be present so that their medal can be properly presented to them. In case of deceased veterans, next of kin can substitute on their behalf but copy of death certificate is required along with proof of service. In cases where medical condition prohibits travel, officers will travel to the confined veteran to present their medal. It is our mission intent to “present medals in the most public means possible ”.
Registration can be made in advance by submitting documentation on site of ceremony but recipient must be present to receive their medal. This allows us to truly honor the recipient and maintain pure listings that only veterans with honorable service receive the award.
Duplicate medals for family members or in case of a lost medal are available for purchase with neck ribbon or lapel pin and are all engraved with recipient name and medal numbers. Please allow 2-4 weeks to receive them (they can be shipped). Requests can be made via above contact information or on-line at www.veteransoforegon.com .
